The small suburban area of Glenn Heights sits on the outskirts of Dallas, Texas, where many homes were destroyed by the tornado that ripped through the area on Dec. 26.
Members of Team Rubicon work long days demolishing houses and tidying yards until they are “TR Clean,” which I have learned means you can eat off just about any surface in the yard. This commitment to excellence stems from the loyalty and affection TR members hold for the organization, and with good reason.

In the week I have been here, veteran after veteran, and sometimes civilians too, have stood up and talked about the impact TR has had on their lives. In some cases, it has saved them. Having worked with so many veterans back home, I can easily see the “TR difference” here: These guys have their spark back. You can see it in their eyes, and you can here in the constant stream of banter and insults flowing back and forth; brothers (and sisters) in arms once again.
